How awesome is this? I want one.

In a newsletter of the World Design Capital 2012 Helsinki I read the following and I fully agree:
Cycling Makes Cities Work
Here’s the fact: Without cycling there cannot be real urban city culture. This is why several projects of WDC Helsinki 2012 are aimed at making the Helsinki area an even better cycling environment for all, children, youth and working adults. Exhibition center Laituri’s Fiilari exhibition (12.6.-4.8.) offers a wide variety of cycling related information. Recently opened “Baana” provides a new route for exclusively cycling/walking/jogging from Ruoholahti area to city center. Baana is yet another example of Helsinki’s desire to renew and improve its cycling routes. We love cycling.

‘While it might seem like a typical bike film at first sight, this short offers so much more than you’d think. Sander Vandenbroucke directed this bewildering documentary, portraying bike messengers in Brussels, a city that has about 4% of cyclists.’ And one might think all European cities are made for bicycles..
Awesome? Awesome!

‘‘Reel’ can transform the main triangle of the bike frame to store your belongings. The silicone stickers are attached onto the frame and the elastic band is wound up between them. Unlike common bicycle accessories, the flexibility of the band allows the user to express their style by customizing the shape of ‘Reel’.’

I found another bicycle gif, I know… I just love gifs :)
Since we have our litte dog Piccolo, we hardly ride our bicycles anymore… this needs to change. I found this cool gif here.
This car-shaped bicycle rack highlights the fact that ten bicycles can be safely parked in a space that can only be used by one car.
The area that a parking space for one car occupies can be used to hold ten bicycles!
To demonstrate why this is just another good reason to cycle in the city, rather than commute by car, Cyclehoop designed a car-shaped bike rack. The London-based company was commissioned to design the portable rack for the London Festival of Architecture to fit easily into a regular parking space in the city.
The car-shaped bike racks are brightly coloured and come with an integrated bicycle pump. In addition to providing a safe space for locking your bike in the city, the rack is also easy to assemble and can be rented for events.
Cyclehoop also has a range of other products for highlighting the benefits of cycling over driving.

Designer Juri Zaech from Paris had the awesome idea for the “write a bike” concept. I want a “Toni-bike”.
