Goodbye 2011. Hello 2012!

What a year. 2011 was amazing, a bomb. 2012 will be even better. I decided to work freelance and more under DNA (photography with Desmond Louw) and am excited for all things new coming up. Thanx so much for checking out my blog in 2011. It was a joy working on it! Cheers!

Hublot Luge – beautiful leather sledge

How beautiful is this sledge? My mom has a very cool old-school one… this would be amazing to have if I would live in Europe!

Faithful to the “Art of fusion” philosophy so dear to the brand, the Hublot Sledge is a feat of cutting-edge technology, combining ash wood for the structure, saddle-stitched leather for the seat, carbon fiber for the handles and stainless steel for the runners. In line with the “Engineered Craft” principle, these 4 materials have all been hand-worked by artisans at the peak of their craft. The prototype was created in partnership with Graf, a company from Thurgovie, based on the “Roedel” competition model.

Chanel and Lincon, Zorgvliet, Stellenbosch

Still-life food photography by Philippe Jarrigeon

“The tight stylings familiar to the glossy pages of a fashion tome are more and more lending their aesthetics to still-life food photography. Our latest discovery of this niche body of work is French “photographer, publisher and more,” Philippe Jarrigeon whose work is immediate, abstract and very, very good-looking. And I’m sure this fetching set-up of citrus for Orange Mecanique Double Magazine #22 never gave Jarrigeon attitude.”

Check out Philippe Jarrigeon’s website, it’s pretty cool.

Joseba & Corinne travelling the world

I just met Joseba and Co through friends and love what they do: they travel the world with their bicycles. Wow. I wanna do this with Des. Check out their blog for upates. You can read funny things like “TRANGEST PLACE SLEPT: Police station of the refugee camp in Botswana. Strange feeling to cross the cell of the prison walking over the prisoneers to go to toilets! Our bicyles slept in the cell while we were camping in the courtyard…”

Car wash calendar – gift idea

Merry Christmas everyone! It’s very exciting… the first time in years I spend it again with my family back in Germany… and they didn’t know about it so there was and is much excitement. If you haven’t got all your Christmas presents yet, no worries.. how about this awesome car wash calendar? I love it.
