DIY or DIE

Masterpieces Pattern Sheet

1. Choose your favourite artwork, find a suitable spot and attach the pattern sheet there to the wall or to a board with appropriate dimensions.
2. Check whether you have sufficient nails and hammer in each of the numbered dots of the choosen pattern a nail through the poster.
3. String a thread or yarn from nail to nail in order of the numbers on the poster.
4. Tear away the poster – smaller sections are removed easily with a pair of tweezers.
5. Take a few steps back and enjoy your own “Masterpiece”.

Book shelves

So Desmond and I decided to build a book shelf for our little house. My task: do intense research. Desmond’s task: making it happen.

>> What I learnt first of all: Reading books makes you a better person. <<

>> What I found secondly: bookshelfporn.com – Porn for book lovers. A photo blog collection of all the best bookshelf photos from around the world for people who *heart* bookshelves. <<

So we have several options, we’ll hopefully decide on one very soon.

Love this America book shelf.

The speech bubble bookshelf is also a nice solution.

The stair case book shelf is probably not a DIY project ;)

The tree book shelf might look cool way over our couch. Lucy gave me the proper link (thank you!). Check out Olivier Dolle’s tree shelf.

Read your book case looks like a winner..

To keep things Rock’n'Roll, the READ book shelf inspired me to make a DNA  for Desmond’n'Antonia ;)

Heart-shaped egg

Imagine waking up and your wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend would bring you one of these? Very sweet…

found at likecool.

DIY… or DIE ;)

Whatimade.com is a cool website if you like to make things yourself and you need some inspiration… enjoy.

Lavender lemonade

The past 2 Sundays I did alltogether 2 hours of garden work… I also planted lavender and hope it will grow and spread out… so I can make lavender lemonade…. this is too romantic :) x

I ♥ Cape Town

Desmond just sent me this pic and I said “WOW” out loud. A piece of art in my Cape Town house by my friends Mikado. Check it out… they make the coolest vinyl stuff! Yeah!

Vinyl present

We got this beautiful vinyl from Maaike & Benieke for Christmas / for our wedding and love it!! In Germany you would call it a “wall tattoo” and that’s what it is. Soon there will be a website and you will be able to order some vinyl-fun as well! x

Shark Cage Diving

A few weeks back I went Shark-cage-diving for work… how awesome is that? It was truly an unique experience… check it out. Plus, find really good wines under R60! I am off to a wine farm..

Because it’s cute…

and reminds me of primary school.
